coffee

At lunch time today I headed over to the Backdoor for a hot chocolate and a bagel. After I left, and was climbing into the car, I noticed an old man sitting in his wheel chair in front of the Pioneer's Home. He waved at me and said something that I could not understand. I smiled, waved back, and got into my car. But as I was about to start my car I noticed that he was still motioning in my direction. Scared that maybe he wasn't just saying, "Hi," and maybe dying, I got out of my car and walked over to him. He said, "Can you do me a favor? I would like a cup of coffee from over there," as he pointed at the Back Door.
I hesitated, considering the long line and how it might make me late for class... But then I looked closer at the old man, sitting there so helpless, and I gave in and said, "Sure, why not! What size? Cream or sugar?"
He said, "Small, with cream and sugar, please." He unzipped his fanny-pack and struggled to take out a five-dollar bill. He trustingly handed it to me and I retrieved his coffee...

world record

I'm sure many of you are aware of the recent Craig (as in the city) murder. The daughter, who is being held responsible for plotting the murder of her mother, has an online journal.
<http://www.livejournal.com/users/smchyrocky/>
Her last comment, explaining rather calmly that her mother had been murdered, has received nearly 5,000 comments! The the one just before it, discussing her recent trip to Anchorage and new boots, has over 700 comments! Some of my favorites are there...

"These boots were made for killin', that's just what they'll do, one of these days these boots are gonna knock you upside the head and light you on fire."

"I hope those boots look good with Orange."

"just because you shop at hot topic and no one understands you doesnt mean you had to kill your mom. anyway, GIRLFRIEND, are you going to wear your new boots to testify? i hope so. cant wait to see it on courtTV!!"

lots of dead birds

On Thursday, the turkey was great along with all the other wonderful foods that none of the pilgrims ever dreamt of enjoying.

On Friday, Bryanna and I purchased a plastic pellet-ball gun and chased a certain female religious entity around town. -That was amusing...
That same day, we witnessed a very, very drunken young lady with her thumb out in front of the P-Bar.
Also along historic Katlian Street, we saw a dead seagull.

wa-wa-washington

As many of you know, my 18th birthday arrived last Thursday, November 11th. So, while in Washington, I did just about everything you CAN do when you're 18.

  • Lost $14 at "Quest Casino"
  • Went to a couple 18+ clubs downtown Spokane
-There was some great local bands playing good music, but it was so loud, that we left. -The club even had free "RockStar" drinks.
  • Bought a cigar, but didn't smoke it because they're disgusting.
  • Went into the "Erotique Boutique" and looked at sex toys and readings
  • Got a tattoo

I'm sure there are other things, but I can't remember at this time.
We also drove to Seattle and went to the Paramount Theatre to watch Death Cab for Cutie! While in Seattle, we walked around Pike Place and 5th Avenue for premier shopping. I'm sure that I'm missing stuff, but I'm too lazy to search my memory bank...
