I've managed to maneuver my work schedule to allow for me to go to Whitehorse, Canada this weekend for a softball tournament. I leave this evening at 5 pm and return sometime Sunday evening. I don't know where I'm staying, who I'm staying with, where we're playing, who we're playing, or any of that. I barely even know HOW to play slowpitch softball. Karen Krupa called me at the last minute (Tuesday) to see if I could play 1st base for her team. I'm not sure how well I'll fit in though. The people going are all 19 and over, while I'm at 17. As you may know, the drinking age in Canada is 19. Many individuals report that the bulk of the entertainment is indeed drinking. So, I have myself a book from the library, a cd player, some paper and a pen, and my own company. It will be nice to leave Sitka, pause working, and hopefully have some fun.
